TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A Tucson teen has been arrested for several violent crimes.

According to the interim complaint 13 News obtained, 17-year-old Ryan Duran has been accused of armed robbery, theft of means of transportation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage, weapons misconduct and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
The interim complaint says on June 30 at approximately 11:00 p.m., Duran approached the victim in a parking lot and robbed them at gunpoint, demanding the victim’s vehicle keys, wallet and cellphone.
Duran was said to be wearing all black with a ski mask and holding a handgun.
Duran then got into the victim’s vehicle and drove off.
According to the interim complaint, a pursuit ensued, leading to Duran crashing the stolen vehicle into a curb, causing over $10,000 in damages.
Court documents said Duran then fled on foot with his handgun, resulting in an officer-involved shooting.
The officer detained Duran and noted he had a GPS ankle monitor.
After contacting Pima County Probation, it was discovered that Duran was on probation and prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous felony conviction.

The interim complaint states that Duran’s phone was downloaded in accordance with a search warrant, where it was discovered that he had lured the victim to the robbery location, told him where to park and asked for a description of the victim’s car.
Court appearance
Duran appeared in Pima County court at around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31.
At his court appearance, it was decided that Duran would be held on a bond of $250,000 and could be held at an adult detention center due to the nature of his crimes and the severity of his injuries.
A pre-trial hearing for Duran is set for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 10.
