President Donald Trump announced earlier this week that the iconic horse sculptures are getting “regilded.”

Photos showed the statues upgraded with a new gold coating.
Each of the statues has a horse and human figure above massive granite pedestals. They are located near the Lincoln Memorial.

The National Park Service said renovations will run through September 30.
Certain areas around the statues have been temporarily closed to visitors.
