TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Overnight thundershowers rolled through parts of Tucson. A few lingering showers at first light. Generally mostly cloudy and warm with improving sky conditions by the afternoon. Still warm, managing highs beyond 100.

As high pressure drifts westward, the afternoon thundershower machine gets turned off. It is a heat spike which enters the forecast next. An Extreme Heat Warning goes into effect Thursday and will remain until Sunday night for all of southeastern Arizona. Highs expected to reach near 110 and might slide a touch above. First Alert Weather Days will be in place from Thursday through Sunday.
