TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Authorities were looking for two bodies in a wash in Rio Rico on Thursday, July 16.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report that two people may have been washed away.
The spokesman said that the bodies may have come from Mexico, but several agencies had crews at a bridge over a wash on East Ruby Road.
As of 8 p.m, no bodies had been recovered, and the search crews were stopping for the night and will return in the morning.

According to reporter J. Hiram Gonzalez, the victims were swept away during the severe flooding on Thursday afternoon. In a Facebook video, you can see the flooding in the channel that splits the city of Nogales.
