A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, police officers and firefighters responded to the Lake Powell Mobile Home Village in Page and arrived to find a residence engulfed in flames.

The family was able to escape as firefighters worked to keep the blaze from spreading to other mobile homes. However, the family’s dog was still inside and died.

Witnesses reported hearing fireworks in the area just before the fire started. Police believe the suspect(s) involved may have been driving around and setting off fireworks, which are illegal in Page.
