CONGRESS, AZ (AZFamily) — A crash involving a car hauler and another truck left two dead and partially shut down a major highway in southwestern Yavapai County early Monday morning.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the trucks collided shortly after 7 a.m. on U.S. 93, roughly 30 miles north of Wickenburg.
Troopers said both drivers died.
Footage from Arizona’s Family news chopper showed that both trucks had extensive damage and appeared to have caught on fire.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said the northbound lanes of U.S. 93 were closed at State Route 71, and the southbound lanes were closed at Interstate 40.

The road was fully reopened by 4:45 p.m.
