Man shot by unknown person after answering door in north central Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man has serious injuries after being shot early Thursday morning when he answered his door in north central Phoenix.

Officers were called to the reported shooting around 3:20 a.m. at the Allora Phoenix Apartments near 23rd and Glendale avenues.

Police found that a man answered a knock at his front door and was then shot by an unknown man. The suspect fled the scene after the shooting, Phoenix PD said.

The shooting victim was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, police confirmed.

Detectives responded to investigate the circumstances of this shooting. No suspect information has been provided.
