ANTHEM, AZ (AZFamily) — Troopers are investigating a deadly single-car crash on Interstate 17 near Anthem early Friday morning.

Authorities say the crash happened just after 2 a.m. on I-17 near Daisy Mountain Drive.
Troopers arrived and found that an SUV hauling a U-Haul trailer left the roadway and crashed into the side of the overpass.
The driver died at the scene. Authorities have not publicly identified the driver but say they were from out of state.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
