TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – One person was taken to the hospital after a fuel truck caught on fire on Interstate 10 near East Vail Road on Thursday, June 18.

The Tucson Fire Department said the fire started around 12:45 p.m. and was under control about an hour later.
The TPD said Engine 19 was the first to arrive on scene, and found black smoke in the air and that the cab of the tractor-trailer was on fire.
A suppression truck and a paramedic truck were then called out, as were a water tender and a hazmat team.

The TFD said one person was transported to a local hospital.
