PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Authorities used a grappler to stop a reported wrong-way driver who led law enforcement on a brief pursuit through north Phoenix on Monday morning.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, troopers attempted to stop a wrong-way driver on I-17 near Dunlap Avenue. The driver didn’t stop and exited the freeway at Glendale Avenue, leading to troopers pursuing the SUV.
Traffic cameras captured the SUV weaving through Glendale Avenue as several DPS patrol cars followed behind. Not long after, troopers were able to successfully grapple the driver near 19th and Glendale avenues.

The driver has not yet been identified. No one was injured during the pursuit or wrong-way incident.
