PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A pediatric cancer patient’s artwork was put on stunning display as it flew above the Valley on a hot air balloon banner.

Ava’s design was selected during an Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children drawing contest. Children and families were invited to submit Rainbow Ryders-themed artwork for the chance to see their creation take flight.
Her colorful design has been transformed into a custom banner that will soar on one of Rainbow Ryders’ signature balloons.
“The artwork I made is a picture of the desert with a hot air balloon flying in the air,” Ava said.
Ava and her family saw the debut during a sunrise flight Friday morning on National Hot Air Balloon Day, celebrating her creativity, courage and imagination.
