PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An arrest has been made just days after a shooting left one teen dead and another hurt at a Maryvale mall.

Phoenix police announced that a 15-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the shooting at Desert Sky Mall earlier this week.
On Tuesday evening, Phoenix police were called to the shooting at the mall near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road. Investigators say the 15-year-old got into an argument with a group of people, including a 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old Kevin Zamora.
During the argument, police say the 15-year-old suspect pulled out a gun and fired at the group. Zamora and the 16-year-old victim were struck by gunfire, and Zamora died from his injuries. The 16-year-old is currently recovering in the hospital.
Authorities reviewed surveillance footage and identified the 15-year-old as the suspect. He was taken into custody at his home.

Charges of second-degree murder and four counts of aggravated assault are being referred to the Maricopa County Juvenile Correctional Center.
