MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man with developmental disabilities was found dead in a vehicle at a care facility in Mesa, and officials have opened an investigation into his death.

First responders with Mesa Fire and Medical were called to the Pathways for Life home care facility near Lindsay Road and Adobe Street around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Authorities confirmed the man was found dead in the vehicle.
Homicide detectives were called out to investigate. The 36-year-old’s cause of death has not been determined.
A company spokesperson with Pathways for Life released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of one of our members. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. We are cooperating with authorities and the investigation that they’re conducting. The safety and well-being of our members is our top priority and we are committed to understanding exactly what occurred.”
