Police: Las Vegas man arrested after argument leads to deadly parking lot shooting

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man was shot and killed early Monday morning following an altercation in a parking lot, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.

At approximately 4 a.m., LVMPD dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a male had been shot near a business on the 4100 block of S. Maryland Parkway, Lt. Price said during a briefing.

Officers found an adult man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Officials say they were able to locate the suspect and identified him as 26-year-old Jordan Garcia. Detectives say the victim and Garcia argued, fought, and Garcia pulled a gun and shot him.

Garcia was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

The identification of the decedent, as well as the cause and manner of death, can be obtained through the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to contact LVMPD Homicide or Crime Stoppers of Nevada to remain anonymous.
