Authorities say 46-year-old Jason Marchesano was wanted in connection with a violent attack against his girlfriend last year in Paulden, a small community north of Prescott. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, Marchesano allegedly restrained the woman with bedsheets and attempted to strangle her in an RV trailer on October 28, 2025.
The woman escaped and reported the assault to police, who got a search warrant and recovered evidence at the scene. Investigators also said bruising on the victim was consistent with her account.
From there, detectives worked multiple leads across state lines into Nevada before a crucial tip pointed them toward California.
Authorities located and arrested Marchesano at LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad. He faces charges of attempted second-degree homicide, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
